CarFit®
CarFit® was developed through collaboration among the American Society on Aging, AARP, the American Occupational Therapy Association and AAA.
A trained professional completes a 12-point CarFit® checklist with the individual and their own vehicle to “fit” the vehicle to the individual. The check only takes about 15 minutes.
Virginia GrandDriver has trained over 60 CarFit® event coordinators. CarFit® has been popular at Aging events around the state. Contact The Virginia Department for the Aging for details on holding your own CarFit® event.
