MAY 3 GRANDDRIVER NEWS CONFERENCE
Website, Latest Driving Simulator Technology Unveiled

Julie Christopher, Commissioner of the Virginia Department for the Aging, will officially unveil the new Virginia GrandDriver website and promotional campaign on Wednesday, May 3 at the Virginia Department for the Aging headquarters in Richmond.

The announcement coincides with "Older Virginians Month" as proclaimed for the month of May by Governor Timothy M. Kaine.

The Virginia GrandDriver initiative was created to educate seniors and those who care about them about how to drive safely, stay mobile and remain independent for as long as possible.

The initiative is a combined effort of the Virginia Department for the Aging and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. It is funded by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
