CarFit®

CarFit was developed through collaboration among the American Society on Aging, AARP, the American Occupational Therapy Association and AAA.

A trained professional completes a 12-point CarFit checklist with the individual and their own vehicle to "fit" the vehicle to the individual. The check only takes about 15 minutes. For more information, visit the CarFit website.


Virginia GrandDriver has trained over 60 CarFit event coordinators. CarFit has been popular at Aging events around the state. Contact The Virginia Department for the Aging for details on holding your own CarFit event.
